Nama Hatta Programs
Fourth Saturday of Every Month, 3:00 pm-6:00 pm
- 3:00-3:30: Arrivals and introductions
- 3:30-4:15: Kirtan (devotional singing of the Hare Krishna Maha-mantra)
- 4:15-5:00: Read and discuss Vedic scriptures like Bhagavad Gita and Srimad Bhagavatam
- 5:00-6:00: Prasadam dinner (vegan and allergy-friendly)

What’s a Nama Hatta?
Nama-hatta means “marketplace of the Holy Name”—it’s an informal gathering of Krishna devotees, where we sing devotional chants (kirtan) in the ISKCON format, discuss the teachings of our scriptures, and enjoy sanctified food (prasadam) in each other’s company.
Am I Welcome?
Yes! Gaudiya Vaisnavas from any sanga are welcome, as is anyone who is curious about Krishna and bhakti and wants to learn more in a low-pressure, welcoming environment. We enthusiastically welcome souls of all races, ages, genders, and orientations.
About Krishna House
Krishna House is a preaching center in Boothbay, Maine, spiritual home to an inclusive group of Gaudiya Vaisnavas — our community leaders and event style are from ISKCON, and our community members are from a variety of sangas and backgrounds. Under the merciful gaze of Their Lordships Sri-Sri Gaura-Nitai, we meet regularly once a month.
